Untitled-7 © is a new social media platform where users can chat directly with the recommendation algorithm to shape what they see in the feed. You won't have to worry about ads, data mining, or opaque recommendations again.
Better Algorithm
The user should be able to save snapshots of the recommender, so they can swap between things like sports, funny, animals, or whatever you describe to the algorithm over time.
Internet-wide Social Media
We are trying to make recommendable the contents of the world wide web, as a whole. If things go well, you will be able to see custom recommenders for all of the web, as well as social.
What We're Doing Now
We applied to be in Y Combinator batch W26, and should hear back from them by the 10th of December.
We are building right now! Until complete, this static site offers a peek at what it should 'feel' like.
Onboarding
Untitled-7 needs your information to function. It is in your benefit, if things go as intended. It is not planned to sell user data, and if we ever wanted to, you'd be asked directly. After that, it should be intuitive.
Day-to-day Experience
Chat with people, browse the web with your own recommender, and feel free to do work and play in one place safely. Filter content in different environments by swapping recommenders, etc.
End goal
We are trying to enable people to enjoy their life the way they want to. It sometimes feels like recommenders on other sites change the user to make them like the feed, instead of the feed to the user's preferences. Who knows, but it's annoying.
